The math only works when someone stops treating the drift as a cleaning problem and starts treating it as a leak. Finding and closing one path can retire a standing cleaning line item that was never going to end on its own.

The fix is usually unglamorous and permanent. Firestop and sealant into a penetration a trade left open. A new sweep on a door that was dragging across the threshold. A pressurization adjustment so the clean room stops pulling air from the construction side. A physical barrier across a subfloor path between a clean zone and a dirty one.
